Hazardous Materials

The following are household items that have been identified as potentially hazardous, and since Westar Moving & Storage, and Wheaton World Wide Moving is committed to safely transporting our customer’s belongings we have developed this list to aid in the packing and preparation of your household goods shipment. These items can produce deadly gases or spontaneous combustion when mixed with other chemicals whether by mixing or by fumes combined.

Items that are not allowed and can not be packed or stored:

• Fire Extinguishers

• Auto Batteries

• Fertilizers, liquid, or powder

• Plant insecticides and lawn care products

• Ammunition

• Flammable household cleaning products like ammonia and bleach

• Disinfectants

• Oxygen in tanks

• Poisons

• Propane tanks or bottled gas of any type

• Corrosives and explosives

• Fireworks

• Acids of any type

• Petroleum products like oils, paints, kerosene, gas

• Aerosol cans like spray paint, spray starch, deodorants, hair spray

• SCUBA diving tanks may be shipped provided they have been professionally purged and tagged
